We’re a data-driven video startup based in LA that’s grown to become the largest producer of video ads on paid social in the 4 years since founding. Collectively, our videos account for ~5% of all paid video views on Facebook and Instagram in North America and reach 100-200 million people per day.

What You’ll Do:

Our organization is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. This role will play a vital role in implementing and monitoring digital analytics tools to provide actionable insights from dashboard KPIs. This senior-level position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Understand key metrics and their impact on the business to provide actionable insights that drive the desired outcome.
  • Drive providing action items from KPI and dashboard analysis to business stakeholders.
  • Engage and interface with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into business and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Foster relationships and engage in regular communications with the department, IT, and the organization at large to resolve issues and provide status updates.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, set expectations, and coordinate team members utilizing effective teamwork and collaborative skills.
  • Mentor and guide team members in achieving standards set by management to exceed expectations.
  • Lead discovery and analysis phases of projects and efforts, as well as requirements elicitation workshops.
  • Document business case/scope/plan, business/functional requirements, and create requirements plans that translate into project planning.
  • Represent information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language.
  • Observe processes and methodologies and identify opportunities to provide solutions that improve productivity, workflow, production, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Share knowledge with the team and stakeholders as appropriate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts related to Marketing, Advertising, Media, and/or Merchandising industries.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst role or similar function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adjust to organizational needs and demands.
  • Ability to work with a vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and cope with rapidly changing information and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
